Yes, it is still in Yip. It has been turned around 180 degrees, have not heard why.
Living so close to Willow Run Airport, I can probably shed some light on that. N706BL was probably turned around due to the cold weather.
Currently 23 Degrees, low tonight 12. It has been cold and a couple inches of snow. Up here we also have something known as Wind Chill Factor. A combination of actual temperature, plus speed of the wind. An actual 23 Degrees when combined with Wind Speed can feel like 5 Degrees, or lower.
Once weather gets below freezing (32) if practical, one would prefer to not have the engine of your car facing directly into the wind. I imagine airplanes utilize this same principal. Thus BLTA relocated which way their engines were facing.
Video of our Baby N706BL thawing out and warming up at Willow Run Airport, Ypsilanti Michigan. Folks, I live an hour away from Willow Run and I can verify this is the current weather, cold and snow. Are they preparing for Mini Evacuation Test & Simulated Ditching Test? Proving Flights?
