Global Consumer LBS Market 2014-2018
M2 - Wed Nov 19, 4:19AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/mv8s72/global_consumer) has announced the addition of the "Global Consumer LBS Market 2014-2018" report to their offering. One of the major trends in the market is the use of analytics to increase consumer engagement. Many advertising companies use big data analytics to understand consumer insights. They extract all the information about a consumer based on their movements on the internet, social networking websites, and google search engines. On the basis of the information collected, they profile the consumer and then push targeted advertisements. According to the report, one of the main drivers of this market is the adoption of GPS-enabled smartphones. Consumers need smartphones and a fast internet connection so that they can use LBS applications such as location tracking, friend finder, location-based advertising, location-based shopping, location-based social networking, location-based entertainment, location-based infotainment, and location-enabled searches properly. In addition, the falling prices of smartphones will act as a catalyst for the incremental adoption of mobile LBS applications. Further, the report states that one of the major challenges in this market is privacy concerns among consumers. Consumers who use LBS are always concerned about the privacy of their personal information, severely affecting the usage pattern of LBS. Companies that provide LBS are responsible for maintaining the privacy of such information and protecting the information from being illegally tracked and misused. Key Topics Covered: 01.
