Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE: GPI), an international, Fortune 500 automotive retailer, today announced that its board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.19 per share for the third quarter of 2014. The dividend, which represents an increase of 11.8 percent, or $0.02 per share, from the second quarter of 2014, will be payable on December 15, 2014, to stockholders of record on December 1, 2014.

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE: GPI), an international, Fortune 500 automotive retailer, today reported 2014 third quarter adjusted net income of $39.8 million, which equates to a diluted earnings per common share of $1.57. Total revenue grew 12.2 percent to an all-time record of $2.6 billion. The quarter included several significant non-recurring charges, especially relating to a convertible senior notes repurchase, which resulted in GAAP net income and diluted earnings per share of $26.2 million and $1.03, respectively. Adjusted net income increased 21.0 percent from the comparable, adjusted prior-year period. On a GAAP basis, net income decreased 20.2 percent from the comparable prior-year period.
