Nearly all States now have a law that bans drivers from texting while driving; and in many States, it is a primary offense where violators can face fines of hundreds of dollars as well as points on their license. "Companies are now being held accountable in lawsuits related to distracted drivers in company vehicles, and even while using a company provided mobile device," stated Steve Berman, CEO of Protext Mobility. "The purpose of this partnership is to offer eligible drivers a discount on their insurance by installing our text blocking solution, and providing a copy of the receipt to the insurance broker as proof of purchase. Only essential call functionalities such as 911 emergency calls and/or incoming calls from selected pre-installed numbers are permitted while the application is in use." Additional details about this partnership will be announced prior to the campaign launch, which is anticipated by the end of the month.
