Unitil Corporation (NYSE: UTL) (www.unitil.com) today announced Net Income of $1.6 million, or $0.11 per share, for the third quarter of 2014, an increase of $1.0 million, or $0.07 per share, compared to the third quarter of 2013. For the nine months ended September 30, 2014, the Company reported Net Income of $15.3 million, an increase of $4.0 million, or 35%, compared to the same period in 2013. Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the nine months ended September 30, 2014 were $1.10 compared to EPS of $0.82 for the same period of 2013. The Company's earnings for 2014 were driven by increases in natural gas and electric sales and margins.
