40 dollars minus 30 dollars divided by 30 is 10/30 or 1/3
200 $$$ minus 150 $$$ divided by 150 is 50/150 = 1/3
in both cases the stock needs to go to up 1/3 no diff
and yes companies split when they get to 80 as people like 40 better but it is the streght of the company that got it to 80 and then the split that is the value - not the split which is math
and see GOOG and BIDU and BH ---- value is value (and tons of buyers - most - do not care if 40 or 80 to buy an even 100 or even 1000 ---- its pensions and banks and mutual funds and megamillionaires that push a stock price

There will be a lot more traders willing to buy a $30.00 stock than a $150.00 stock.
For an appreciation of $1M with 100K shares at a pps of $30.00, the pps needs to move to $40.00.
For an appreciation of $1M with 20K shares at a pps of $150.00, the pps needs to move to $200.00.
Moreover with a larger number of shares, the dividends earned are proportionately more.
I would take 100K shares at $30.00 over 20K shares at 150.00.

But with F and F number of share changes will all be part of freedom and IPOs and a new company and joy in the world
so 100 at 10 will equal 10 at 100 when there is a major shake up of the company and its future and freedom
