MIAMI BEACH, FL / ACCESSWIRE / November 6, 2014 / Cre8tive Works, Inc. ("Cre8tive" (FILM) today announced that the Company has signed a Term Sheet with Sistar Films Inc. to fund an independent film project titled "Gord".
Cre8tive Works has agreed to raise between $1.2 million and $1.5 million on a "best efforts basis" for investment in "Gord" in exchange for a designated percentage of the film project's net revenues that could reach 50% dependent upon the number of additional investors brought on by the producer. Cre8tive will have access to all financial records throughout the production and revenue generating stages and will be granted "Executive Producer" credits on the project upon completion of the minimum funding, according to the term sheet.
Net revenues generated by the film include, but are not limited to tax credit rebates, revenues from worldwide distribution licensing fees, revenue from online downloads, pay-per-view, DVD sales, royalties, music publishing, web-related sales and merchandising net of any agreed upon distribution costs, according to the Term Sheet.
"Gord" will be incorporated in the Province of British Columbia (BC) and structured to maximize available tax credits which is part of Cre8tive Works' business model highlighted in a previous news announcement.
The Company expects to recover a significant percentage of its financial investment in the film project within one year in the form of a Production Services Tax Credit (PSTC) issued by the BC government.
"Cre8tive Works is pleased to announce our commitment to fund the independent film 'Gord,' which has tremendous potential to secure a major worldwide distribution deal and a successful premier at a prominent festival due to its strong comedic and edgy performances. Our confidence also stems from very positive feedback and coverage that the film has received from a number of prominent sales companies and distributors that we have been in discussions with," commented Cre8tive Works' CEO, Andrew McLaughlin.
"Gord" is a dark comedy/mockumentary that the producer anticipates will be completed and ready to debut at film festivals in the fall of 2015. For more information, visit www.imdb.com/title/tt4012558.
"'Gord' is the third commercially viable film project that Cre8tive Works has agreed to fund in the last few months. The Company now has a 'package' of films that we believe have an excellent chance for success and can begin negotiating distribution agreements. Additionally, Cre8tive can now utilize its network of European contracts with which we have had successful dealings in the past to raise additional capital if necessary due to the fact that we've begun the process of becoming fully reporting with the SEC," added Richard Smith, Cre8tive Works' CFO.
The marketing campaign for the film "Gord" will encompass poster, print and online platforms including traditional social media sites Facebook and Twitter. Cre8tive Works will also have a dedicated website and launch awareness campaigns that include an in-theatre movie trailer to create early awareness to ensure that moviegoers know the film is coming soon.
