Proteon Therapeutics Inc., a company developing novel, first-in-class pharmaceuticals to address the medical needs of patients with kidney and vascular diseases, today announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 6,110,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $10.00 per share, before underwriting discounts, commissions and estimated expenses. All of the shares of common stock are being offered by Proteon. The shares are scheduled to begin trading on the NASDAQ Global Market under the ticker symbol "PRTO" on October 22, 2014. In addition, Proteon has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 916,500 additional shares of common stock at the offering price. The offering is expected to close on October 27, 2014, subject to customary closing conditions.
