Last time I heard Obama talk about FnF he said "we need to wind them down". You going to have to wait to 2016 when we get a new president who is going to free FnF from government bondage. I think Moses has to go to Congress Pharoh and say "Let my Fannies go". It would take the 10 plagues of Egypt before Congress frees Fannie and Freddie.
They have just sold bad loans to a weak chain of American community, hard working people. They are rubbish which has to be smashed. 13B penalty ???
This GOVT should be nock down.
At the place of relevant authority, I would step down.
Shame on them.
Keep it up M22 and you'll be drafted for the plaintiffs legal genius team. I'm loving the sound of it.
Glad to hear him say that for sure. Come on Mello yellow........release us please!
David is taking on Goliath but Big G. Is putting up quite a scrap! We have to help shine the light on the truth by writing emails/letters to our representatives and local/national press an TV.

The turning point will be when the media start to really report on some of these very compelling stories.

I talk to everyone I can about F&F's situation and most I talk to consistently have a strong opinion about how 'no way the shareholders deserve to make that much money from a stock and they were the complete cause of the financial meltdown'. The misinformation out there is staggering! IMO. GLTA

Hmm, Watts claiming that the GSEs have been reformed AFTER Ackman drops one of his lawsuits, Fannie and Freddie had huge profits and Cramer goes on TV talking about the housing industry in a positive light and dropping Fannie by name? I forgot to add in the lumping Dems took during this election cycle.

I am going with FnF being released from conservatorship soon as a strategic move by the Obama administration. Also, with the woman from the JP Morgan whistle blower story naming Eric Holder as not really wanting to go after the banksters like he should have, Holder leaving at this time is very interesting.

It's a wrap.

Sure I can say RELEASE.
I like the way you say that.
Did you know that?!
the board of directors, executives, somebody could still say the word "shareholders".

The Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA), commonly known as Fannie Mae, was founded in 1938 during the Great Depression as part of the New Deal. It is a government-sponsored enterprise (GSE), though it has been a publicly traded company since 1968.

Publicly traded companies are able to raise funds and capital through the sale (in the primary or secondary market) of their securities, whether debt or equity. This is the reason publicly traded corporations are important: prior to their existence, it was very difficult to obtain large amounts of capital for private enterprises. The profit on stock or bonds is gained in form of dividend or capital gain to the holders of such securities.

...but he won't...why?...he's not a CEO or board member of the GSE's...he's the REGULATOR...it's only proper to address all people who has an interest in the GSE's as stakeholders not shareholders....now if the CEO or anyone at the GSE's address them the same way then it clearly shows that they are following the regulator's footsteps...
Way to be positive, you go girl!
You have to dance like that at the toast. you're not out of FnF forever, no way!
$FNMA~Sold your .25zzzzzzzz???

So we reload .10zzzzzzzzz, YES?

So you switched them to Freddie, big deal! ????
I have no FNMA shares left...

US TREASURY TO FANNIE. THANKS FOR THE

Cash. Now get back to work and keep them checks coming.

All of it . Every dime until you are put out of business.

Shareholders? Too bad. The get nothing now or ever. Fair value

.25 cents per might happen down the road but its for investors

pre 2008.

$FNMA~ Blame Canada, LMAO!

And some people think fraud only happens on the OTC.
Normally the majority of all civil cases settle before courts render a decision for the reasons you've stated.
Quote:
I don`t beleive either side want to risk court deciding outcome as both could barter better outcome for themselves through settlement.
The only problem here is that the defendant is the U.S. Gooberment, and there is no individual that would loose if the court finds in favor of the plaintiffs... For this reason there are many judgments against the Gooberment that we all collectively pay for. All the Gooberment has to do if they loose is say, "Add it to our bill". Basically the delay, in and of itself, is considered a win.

For this reason, I do not believe there will be a settlement for legal reasons, or motivations. However, there is a chance of a release from C-ship for political reasons before the courts render their respective legal decisions IMO... Time will tell.
May more step forward. May more finger pointing. May more criminal prosecution. May more finger pointing. May more politicians and government agency resign nf go to jail. May FnF be redeemed. May shareholders be fully restored.
