The goal of any for-profit company is to make mone

In order to do that, it certainly appears at this point that BC and team need to "make nice" with the town/council to be able to get whatever signoffs they need to operate on the current location and start to utilize the facility that they have invested in. It makes little to no sense to pack things up and move proposed operations somewhere else.
In order to capture market share, you need to be selling product. By starting over, they're back to the end of the line with hundreds of applicants in front of them - they're not going to get any preferential treatment from HC to consider a new application based on a move of a pre-existing plan.
The 6000sq ft limitation of processing is of little concern given the amount of grow space they can currently utilize. BC needs to coordinate the team effort to focus solely on getting the Lakeshore issues sorted out. (Yes - there are issues - wake up people!) Future buildings are all predicated on a successfully operating business that is generating significant profits to fund such reinvestment. I'm OK with building such additional facilities in other regions/towns, but the company launch must be in Lakeshore or the business will fail as there will be far too many players operating 12-18 months from now.
As for the private investor - just because they had $20M to throw at this doesn't mean that they did all the proper investigation to ensure that this business venture was going to be a guaranteed success in Lakeshore. If they bought into the BC spin, they probably think there are no issues with zoning either.
