If he issued a statement that vague in light of what happened last night, he would lose a ton of respect from a lot of people because it would be considered a foolish statement. I think only the people who have consumed gallons of kool aid at this point would actually see such a vague statement as a good move by Bill.

If the company is going to issue a formal PR, it will need to be very specific and highlight key items that are sound arguments/proof that the company is not negatively impacted by the town decision. After all of the discussion over the last 18 hours, I'm not 100% confident that the company has that leg to stand on at this point.
