Ohhh Forbes has an opinion, too! yippy! You're spending alot of time here today? Too bad you're not very smart, that is obvious, or you would've joined all your buddies and covered earlier. Nobody to blame, but yourself. Yet you're so greedy and short you're trying to scare newbs into selling out. Hahahahaha I laugh at you bc it seems you're afraid that your friend Karma is gonna come back and slap you. And rotten Apples, I mean people, like you....... deserve it.
HAIL!
GTATQ$
That is why the world has trained and experience professional lawyers. To see thru very bad contracts, and advise their clients accordally. Like GTAT attorneys should have did for them.
Facts not opinion.
What apple did to GTATQ is called Unconscionability.
It means contact is written so one sided that it's impossible to fulfill while it becomes unforcable if legally challenged.
Red more here http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconscionability
AAPL is in trouble and we are victims here. Buy and stay long. We will win big.
F-15, GTAT and Apple still have a chance to get what they both needs. Apple need for it secret not to be spilled all over the world, and GT needs to make all of those lawsuits to go away after they had filed a chapter 11, that has cause so much pain for many. That is how much is that "Top Secret" is really worth to Apple and GTAT. Yes, GTAT, because they do have to get Apple on the same playing field with them, because they both have a lot to lose. GTAT needs Apple to come up with a much better deal than the last one. Not just in order to get the judge to approve their compromising solution, but one that will get the investors, shareholders, and creditors to agree with, plus get them all off of their backs. Remember there are lawsuits filed against GT from investors, shareholders, and creditors. GT biggest problem is going to be the lawsuits even if they survive the bk fallout. Gt only real solution is Apple negotiating their contract, or buying out GTAT, which I do not see them buying GTAT out.
The "Hot Secret" has to be worth at lease a real good negotiable contract deal between GTAT and APPL that will please the investors, shareholders, and creditors plus the courts. Other than that, the sealed documents will be open, and the beans will be spilled on the Big Rotten Apple, and lawsuits glamore against GT. Plus lawsuits maybe filed against the Poison Apple. So let the chips fall where they may.
All in my humble opinion of course.
GTATQ $$$$ I agree with you
Gotta keep this GTATQ sauce as boss as possible. LONG ftw.
In for the LONG. http://www.gtat.com/ , enough said.
Ok Apple shareholder whatever you say
GTATQ $$$$ Just based on the information in that article, it appears that GTAT did everything they could to try to accommodate AAPL's demands, and were unsuccessful due to unforeseen circumstances out of their control and also due to the unwillingness of AAPL to cooperate in making the adjustments needed to achieve the desired production.
I'm hoping that the Judge will be wondering...Is there any other company that when faced with the exact same situation and circumstances, would have been successful in meeting AAPL's demands?
I think the answer to this is obvious...there's no way any other company could have survived AAPL's rigid and excessive demands. Contract was written in terms that were impossible to fulfill.
I wouldn't short this stock at all. You'll get left at the station if you do.
5th most read ihub board today, many eyes on this one, gap up Monday should be a goodie.....people playing with fire if short, or not in as a buyout, deal etc can come anytime......
Is Samsung "reaching out" to GTAT now?

Samsung and LG to start using sapphire displays

Apple has invested heavily in producing Sapphire displays for the upcoming iPhone 6. The coating is the same technology that watch manufacturers have been using for some time now to protect the faces of their timepieces from unwanted nicks and scratches.
Well it looks like Samsung and LG have decided to follow in the footsteps of Apple and coat their upcoming phones’ displays with Sapphire.
How do we know this? Well, according to inside sources in Korea, LG and Samsung have been reaching out to Sapphire glass manufacturers and are requesting product samples.
It’s also been reported that both Korean cell phone manufacturers looked into Sapphire display manufacturing as early as last year, but ultimately decided to forgo the process, as it was considered too expensive of an endeavor.
That brings the question of increased future smartphone cost. Sure, a handset rocking the latest and greatest hardware is something that appeals all of our minds, but how about our wallets? Apple’s devices have always commanded premium prices, but many Android handsets are usually more affordable, especially when you buy them outright. What will Sapphire coating mean for the prices of upcoming Samsung and LG phones?

If Apple doesn't change management & quit screwing over contractors no one will work with them. Wouldn't be surprised to see Cook and many others given their walking papers soon.
Toxic corporate culture.
This article makes it clear that if GTAT fails Apple is exposed to civil liability. I also believe that there is criminal liability but we know what our government's track record is on prosecuting corporations and their officers criminally, so I won't hold my breath on that one.

Xena ! Ga-DA! Judge said from the beginning that Apple kept changing the specs after deal was signed. GTAT was left with no recourse but to Bk- 11.
What a JOB Apple did on this great company....
Humm.....Think I will short Apple after 1000% run-up on GTAT.

GTATQ $$$$ AAPL may be able to get away with vendor atrocities overseas....but in the US they are BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!
GTATQ $$$$ Lol! Double whammy for AAPL...not only does AAPL face the reality of have it's sealed documents exposed....but the $50 million per violation of the sealed documents will no longer apply due to the court order taking precedence!
Apple wants to do future business with GTAT on their sapphire glass, or the competitors will lock it all up, and Apple won't be able to suppress the breaking of the Gorilla glass on the I-6.
Apple is just trying to get away with as cheaply as they can, and keep the contract abuse secret.
Done Deal !
They will pay up.
