What's up with the NP-1, "The revolutionary set top box" ?
4K content is still in its infancy, Ultraflix still not officially launched, yet most new 4K TV's are smart and have no need for a box like the NP-1 any more.
Even the low priced Vizio's don't need an NP-1.
Availability at the NTEK store remains largely unchanged (there even aren't any more reviews to read), once in a blue moon someone posts a review on Amazon, but that's about it. Online retailers are "out of stock" for weeks. Months after being available for online purchase there is nothing in stores yet. No review by any tech site.
I don't want to sound negative, I still believe in this company (esp. Ultraflix), but regarding the NP-1, I am starting to believe that it's getting too little too late, and that this will be nothing but a big fart in a bottle.
Months ago on the bashHub bashers already called it obsolete just because they had little other arguments against it. But I fear that it might just become so.
Just my 5 cents, or shall I say, just my "NTEK pps".
What are they up to with their streaming media player ?
