Blue Skies Ahead For Baltia Airlines As Phase III Commences
Baltia Air Lines (OTCBB: BLTA) recently announced their single most exciting accomplishment to date: entry into Phase III. This not only marks a tremendous milestone in their achievements thus far, it also indicates that their Part 121 certification is merely weeks away. The remaining tasks are as follows:
• Mini-evacuation: a one-day task
• Tabletop Exercises: a one-day task
• Proving Flights: multi-day series of flights
Upon completion of these tasks, and their Boeing 747 passing the FAA’s conformity check, Baltia will be very virtually done with certification. Upon Russia’s approval of the certificate, a process which Baltia has effectively worked on expediting, Baltia can begin passenger flights to St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport, as well as multiple other Eastern European destinations (Riga, Belarus, etc.).
Baltia’s admirable goals seem to be certification and first flight before the end of 2014, which could very well happen, given that the remaining tasks are significantly easier to complete than those of Phase II. Baltia has overcome the most difficult part of certification by finishing Phase II, and has reduced its checklist to a handful of assignments. In the hands of a Chief of Operations with over a dozen certifications under her belt, Baltia will undoubtedly see the blue skies very soon.
