There was a mention of Texas in one of the post. I was very surprised at how much I liked Texas. To be honest basic training in August was not fun back in 1977, however if we can get beyond blue state red state and focus on how we can be a help to people, Texas would be a great state to consider for growing. Most of the Texans I met are solid Americans and not the over the top red necks that they are often portrayed to be by the media.
