What are PEG channels ? For those of you who may not know PEG channels are “PUBLIC , EDUCATION, and GOVERNMENT” channels across the nation. Depending on who you listen to TelVue controls between 1500 and 5000 of these channels. I have always thought that they were a drain on TelVue . Physically , mentally and financially. Over the years they have made some money for TelVue . In the beginning they put TelVue in the black for awhile. TelVue supplies these hyper local channels with both hardware and software As the generation turns to internet TV PEG channels will be ready and TelVue is ready to supply them.
In my opinion both political parties are missing an opportunity for cheap advertisement when they do not use PEG channels. Across the nation in 30 million homes and counting TelVue brings TV programming to homes, schools K-12 and higher. As this generation turns more to internet TV TelVue is positioned perfectly. The present political administration has no money for anything but buying votes but there is an election in a month. Every PEG channel across the nation would like to go HD and TelVue holds the keys. Each one needs funding and an infusion of new hardware and software and TelVue is their best and only answer. With a change in administration in the house and senate will funding be available ?
