Ikanos Introduces iTSS(TM), Comprehensive Software Suite

(NASDAQ: IKAN), a leading provider of advanced broadband semiconductor and software products for the connected home, today announced iTSS™ (Ikanos Turnkey Software Solution), an embedded-software platform for its family of Fusiv® gateway processors. This new software platform equips system integrators and equipment manufacturers, such as KAONMEDIA, which has already adopted this solution, with a complete, ready-to-deploy software stack for developing triple-play home gateways and related applications on high-speed broadband networks. Ikanos (Booth #B4) and KAONMEDIA (Booth #E5) will be demonstrating the iTSS™ software solution at the 2014 Broadband World Forum conference taking place in Amsterdam on Oct 21-23.

iTSS™ is a comprehensive broadband solution designed to work in tandem with the cost-optimized CPE reference hardware platforms from Ikanos. Built around the Ikanos Fusiv™ family of multi-mode broadband-gateway chipsets, iTSS™ can take advantage of all of the benefits of the chipsets' native features, including flexible WAN interfaces (ADSL/2/2+, VDSL2, and Gigabit WAN), dual-band concurrent Wi-Fi, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet support, and carrier-grade voice. Complete network management modules (such as for TR-069), a full voice SIP stack, and end-user features such as home network topology mapping are also provided by iTSS™.

Complete Gateway Solution
iTSS™ also provides integration options with the onboard Ikanos inSIGHT Broadband eXperience Manager (BXM), an industry-first suite of broadband diagnostic and monitoring tools introduced in mid-2013. iTSS™ leverages the advanced diagnostic features of inSIGHT, along with Ikanos' patent-pending algorithms, to enable carriers to proactively identify the cause of common wiring faults and noise interference problems. Delivering a high degree of visibility and accuracy in identifying and resolving service issues, inSIGHT surpasses existing network-based remote monitoring solutions. This powerful cost-saving feature gives OEM's and ODM's an edge in the competitive carrier market.

With a laser focus on reducing carrier time-to-market, Ikanos integrated its easy-to-use tools for GUI customization into iTSS™. OEM and ODM customers can rapidly create their own branded version of iTSS™ to tailor the software to their own business needs. The iTSS™ platform is also highly extensible, allowing both new customer-facing and carrier-facing applications to be developed over time - providing continuous improvement in the customer experience and lowering carrier OpEx.
