The Rapid Diagnostic Tuberculosis (TB) Whole Blood Test can be done in 15 minutes.
Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs. But, TB bacteria can attack any part of the body such as the kidney, spine, and brain. If not treated properly, TB disease can be fatal.
Annually, 8 million people become ill with tuberculosis, and 2 million people die from the disease worldwide. Recently 14.6 million people had active TB disease with 9 million new cases.
