HKipp, I'm pretty sure they patented the technology many years ago. " MIT has developed and patented a technology for rapid microbe identification." That's from the first paragraph of the companies self description. I know I have read through the patent at some point in my initial DD a year and a half ago.
Anybody got a link handy? On the road today not much chance for me to dig for it.
I'm confused by your post, if I am correct that they have a patent, why would you have a discussion about why they don't need one?
