Hello Everyone, I wanted to share an Ah, ha momen

I wanted to share an Ah, ha moment I had last night.
I booked a flight to attend a training in Ohio a couple of weeks ago. The training begins tomorrow. So, anyway, I flew US Air and had a stop over in Washington, DC. It was a fairly smooth flight but you know, it's a risk... purchasing a flight, getting on a plane, assuming it will fly, that the captain knows what he or she is doing.... I know some things about flying but not everything... so, anyway, it's a risk...
Kind of like buying stock...
It's a risk I take...I pay the airline money and then they deliver their part by taking me to my destination.
So, anyway, as we approached the airport, we could see the Washington Monument, the White House and the Capitol Building. The aircraft started to turn in preparation for its approach and I could see water below us as we obviously were nearing the runway.
All was going well when suddenly, I heard the engines accelerate and we began to climb. I saw the runway below us...far away and thought to mysel, "I wonder what's wrong?" The passenger seated next to me said he heard the landing gear go down... that we were ready to land but something must have happened.
A few minutes later, the captain updated us that a plane on the runway was taking its time to take off so the tower instructed him to curcle around. he said we would land n about 5-10 minutes. twentyminutes later, we landed...
I see this as a parallel process to FITX in a smaller way...I take a risk, buy what they are selling, go for the ride and sure enough... things get in the way that affect plans and intentions.
I didn't question the captain or his decision to pull up...I was curious about the change but never did it cross my mind to question his decision. His decision happened because of the position of another plane...had nothing to do with us... but it affected us and he handled it responsibly and professionally.
I can see the same thing in FITX and with Bill. Unexpected turn of events happen...
We have boarded/this "ride" with Bill and he will take us to our destination through the company. He is the captain and I trust him.
Things are going to come up and I trust him to react and respond professionally with everyone's best interest in mind. He will consult like the caption did with the tower... but ultimately, he is flyingthe plane, leading the company. He is going to handle everything to the best of his ability and when the time is right, he will inform us...update us as we need to know...
My guess is we will land safely...
Long winded... but I hope it is relevant to some...
