Informatica PowerCenter and Data Quality Achieve Up-to-Five Times Faster Performance with Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle SuperCluster

Redwood City, Calif., Sept. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq:INFA), the world's number one independent provider of data integration software, today announced that Informatica PowerCenter v. 9.6.1 and Data Quality v. 9.6.1 have achieved Oracle Exadata Optimized and Oracle SuperCluster Optimized status through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). As a high-speed on-ramp for data into Oracle Exadata and Oracle SuperCluster, PowerCenter and Data Quality can deliver up-to-five times faster performance on data load, query and profiling tasks.

Customers adopting Oracle Engineered Systems for high-volume, high-speed analytics can utilize Informatica PowerCenter and Data Quality to ingest, cleanse and transform various types of data into Oracle Exadata and Oracle SuperCluster with the extreme performance and high scalability required to maximize the value of their engineered systems investment.

In addition, later this year, Informatica PowerCenter and Data Quality will leverage the multi-tenancy and in-memory capabilities of Oracle Database 12c for high-performance scenarios. PowerExchange for Relational Databases is now certified by Informatica for Oracle Database 12c with Multitenant and also will support Oracle In-Memory sources and targets later this year.

Informatica will showcase these powerful solutions at Oracle OpenWorld, Booth #3512, Sept. 29 through Oct. 2 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

The combination of Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Data Quality with Oracle Exadata or Oracle SuperCluster enables organizations to:

· Move higher volumes of trusted data into Oracle Exadata and Oracle SuperCluster more quickly to support more timely reporting with up-to-date information [3x to 5x performance improvement in data load operations and 5x reduction in query execution time (1TB dataset)]¹

· More easily and economically manage large-scale analytic data warehousing environments by consolidating a multitude of servers on one rack

· Leverage existing code/programming skills to execute high-performance data integration directly on Oracle Exadata or Oracle SuperCluster, perform push down optimization on Oracle Exadata or Oracle SuperCluster

· Utilize out-of-the-box Informatica connectivity to easily access hundreds of data sources, including all the major databases, on-premise and cloud applications, mainframes, social data and Hadoop
