Cesca Therapeutics Announces Approval of Its AXP(R) AutoXpress(R) System in Taiwan

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif., Sept. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cesca Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: KOOL ), an autologous cell-based regenerative medicine company, today announced that the Company has received approval from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration ("TFDA") for the sale and distribution of its AXP AutoXpress System and related cell processing bag-set in Taiwan.

"Taiwan is an important region for us as we continue to expand our presence and drive to new market share gains in Asia," continued Plavan.

Taiwan is a market deeply invested in cord blood banking and represents one of the highest rates of cord blood banked per birth globally. More than five cord blood banks service the country, including two with a US presence.
