Surfline Expands HD Cam Network in Bali

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Sept. 23, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Surfline/Wavetrak Inc., the company behind global surf forecasting powerhouse Surfline, is stoked to announce the addition of three live HD cams in Bali. Surfline launched both the Impossibles HD Cam and Uluwatu HD Cam on July 18, 2014. The third Surfline HD Cam launched September 18, 2014 at Keramas .

"The new Bali cameras help Surfline fulfill its mission of to enabling surfers around the world live better, more fulfilling lives." said Ross Garrett, Surfline's GM of Surf. "Whether you're in Bali and want to know before you go, or you're in Australia and want to take a mental vacation, these cams are another step forward for the surfing world."

During nighttime in Bali, the cams are turned off, so be sure to check out the Camera Rewind files from the previous 5 days of swell action on each of the HD Cams.

The new Bali cam locations add to Surfline's extensive network of worldwide HD wave cams. Surfline has a total of 170 HD cams worldwide, including 24 new cams added in 2014. Surfline's HD cams are available with 30 second ads to all registered users and available ad-free for Surfline Premium members on Surfline.com, Surfline's mobile site, and the Surfline App for iPhone and Android and Windows Phone.

The addition of the Bali cams aligns with Surfline's mission to help surfers everywhere 'Know Before You Go.' Combined with Surfline's surf reports, regional forecasts, spot forecasts and animated charts in the region, the three new HD cams are yet another powerful tool enabling surfers to score great waves by being in the right place at the right time.

First gaining recognition as a counterculture retreat, Bali today is a popular surfing destination, drawing an influx of traveling surfers each year as well as supporting a thriving culture of local surfers.
