According to Consumer Electronics Industry regarding Ultra HD:
The continued market growth of Ultra HD TV is performing better than initially projected in 2014. Unit shipments of Ultra HD displays are expected to reach 800,000 in 2014, earning $1.9 billion in revenue, a 517 percent increase over the 2013 total. Revenue from Ultra HD displays is projected to exceed $5 billion in 2015, an impressive total considering that revenue was virtually nonexistent three years earlier.
Peeps, listen up, carefully before buy NTEK stock. Nanotech Entertainment, specifically the NP-1 and Ultraflix is so incredibly important to the 4K Ultra HD display/panel manufacturers, they are ALL going to FIGHT if necessary to align themselves with Ultraflix! Why? Simple, No one else has the delivery system to securely, effectively and cost efficiently stream 4K content. While all the display people where making their displays everyone forgot about A. Content and B. Delivery method. Even the behemoth NFLX wasn't ready for the 4K phenomenon but Nanotech was!
Why are the prices of 4K displays being slashed like mad right before the holiday season? Manufacturers realization that a consumer must perceive the benefit of a 4K display in order for them to cough up the extra dinero to buy one over a standard HD set. Well, they've decided the benefit isn't quite there because of the limited Content and the horrible delivery methods currently available, save the NP-1 and Ultraflix.
Of the major players, Sony was quick to announce an agreement with NTEK, Vizio next followed in short order, imo, by Samsung, LG, Sharp, Panasonic. They ALL HAVE to do it because for the aforementioned reasons. I don't think we need to review the horrific reviews there are on downloading and bundled 4K content boxes, do we? It's a $400-600 bad joke played on consumers. Those units will be collecting dust in 2015.
I'll leave you with this, sales estimates are for over 5 Billion in 4K UHD sets next year. That is up over 400% this year. If this holiday season is a good one for UHD sales, I'd be willing to bet we see more revised estimates to the upside. AND.....NTEK will be there in more ways than just one! This is just the beginning.
My money is on the good men and women at NTEK who have been there and done that.
