Interesting in that the mayor has now made two comments - both of them framing the quesitons "what if they don't get licenses?' and he is worried about an eye sore. The mayor should be held accountable for that eye sore. The town granted permits only for a pole barn/agricultural storage. Whe I asked why they did not put "medical marijuana facility" as the end use on the permit, they still would not have violated any zoning laws. A poster here said they did not put it on the permit because they had yet to receive their license yet, the company continued to say publicly exactly what they were doing to everyone except to the most important group, the town council by way of offficially informing them. As of yet there is no official application before the town for a medical marijuana facility, just the notification they have applied to HC and a zoning amendment application for site #1, according to the town council on July 15th and again my Tom Bain. Bain has his fingerprints on this one. He was there supposedly as a cheerleader when this was announced and yet, and Bill sates in numerous press releases and stories, interview, that town officials are behind him and the project, he and others obviously in the know, took no steps prior to the completion of the buidling to have a sit down with residents in the area affected. Now Bain is attempting the distance dance and acting in an official capacity. He has now made that comment twice to the media. This is now going to get interesting at the local level as we see the political version of musical chairs commence.
