Ziehm Imaging Inc. Selects Christie InnoMed to Expand Canadian Distribution

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 22, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Ziehm Imaging Inc., the leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of mobile C-arm X-ray imaging solutions, has partnered with Canadian distributor Christie InnoMed, marking a major expansion by Ziehm in the North American market.

The exclusive agreement provides Christie InnoMed – a total solutions provider and systems integrator for diagnostic imaging equipment – complete access to Ziehm's array of mobile C-arms.

Among the offerings Christie InnoMed will make available throughout Canada is the latest Ziehm Vario 3D system, which offers flat-panel detector technology and compatibility with all three major navigation partners.

For Ziehm, the standard-setter for mobile X-ray technology for more than four decades, the alliance represents a significant milestone. Since its founding in 1972, Ziehm has installed more than 10,000 C-arms in hospitals and medical facilities worldwide.

Said Nelson Mendes, chief executive officer of Ziehm: "The relationship with Christie InnoMed will further our market development strategy to grow distribution in Canada and provide the benefits of mobile imaging to the Canadian market."

By expanding its product line to include Ziehm C-arms, Christie InnoMed can meet customers' increasing demand for mobile imaging solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure – and simultaneously offer outstanding image quality at minimum dose levels.

"Christie is really proud to partner with Ziehm," said André Dugas, chief operating officer of Christie InnoMed. "Ziehm is a world-class leader in mobile fluoroscopy and allows us to better our offering to healthcare facilities and physicians throughout Canada. This addition to our current portfolio fits well with our mission to offer the best-of-breed technologies to the medical community."
