I think it's great that word is getting out to a wider audience. It's priming the pump for when the PRs come out. More than just our initiated group needs to hear. In fact- since the problem of food contamination is of wide general interest- hopefully news of MIT's launch will become general news and not just financial or penny stock news. Can't you just see the CNN headline- "Finally- an Answer to the  Widespread Problem of Food Poisoning-- MIT!!" Just watch the pps then.
