Hotel in Raleigh, North Carolina Announces New General Manager

RALEIGH, NC--(Marketwired - Sep 19, 2014) - Whoever says you can't go home again didn't start his career with Residence Inn. Case in point is Nidal Alawar, the new general manager for the Residence Inn Raleigh Crabtree Valley. Alawar got his start in hospitality with the Residence Inn and now, many years and many positions later, he's arrived at this hotel near Crabtree Mall in North Carolina to put his experience to work.

Hotels in Raleigh, North Carolina feature prominently in Alawar's professional background. He began his career in 2002 as a front-desk associate at the Residence Inn Raleigh Midtown but demonstrated the sort of initiative and ambition to quickly work his way up from there. Soon he was promoted to be the guest-service manager and, not long after, the assistant general manager.

Alawar took a brief hiatus from the Residence Inn brand to expand his breadth of experience as a general manager for two successive Marriott properties. First he joined the team at the TownePlace Suites Raleigh Cary/Weston Parkway, and then the Fairfield Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport/RTP. During these tenures, Alawar gained valuable experience not only in successfully leading a property but in adapting to different brand styles.

Such professional flexibility made Alawar an ideal candidate for the position of the acting general manager for the Residence Inn Chapel Hill and, now, the Residence Inn Raleigh Crabtree Valley where guests have come to expect good value and excellent service. The 112 suites feature full kitchens, sofa beds and plenty of space where visitors can make themselves at home. Features like complimentary grocery shopping, breakfasts and evening socials take the hassle out of not just travel, but running a household. And all this translates to a distinctive choice among hotels near the PNC Arena.

Joining the team at this extended-stay hotel in Raleigh, NC represents the realization of a major goal for Alawar. Now he can put his expertise to work for a brand he knows intimately, and that promises an exciting future for guests and associates alike.

"I am truly ecstatic to bring in my experience and combine it with the wonderful team spirit and culture at this hotel so our guests can continue to tell stories about their experiences," Alawar explains. "Who said hard work doesn't pay off?!" Alawar, it seems, is home for good.

About the Residence Inn Raleigh Crabtree Valley Conveniently located, the Residence Inn Raleigh Crabtree Valley welcomes travelers with well-appointed, extended-stay accommodations. Guests arriving for business will appreciate the property's three flexible meeting rooms and its regularly hosted evening socials, which offer opportunities to network and mingle. Others traveling for pleasure can simply enjoy the pet-friendly hotel's many amenities, which include a fitness center, putting green, seasonal outdoor pool and exercise trail. On-site laundry facilities, a 24-hour market and the suites' range of amenities (think crisp linens, full kitchens and plenty of space) translate to a comfortable stay. And the area's nearby attractions like Carter Finley Stadium, North Carolina State University, Research Triangle Park and Crabtree Valley Mall mean there's always plenty to see and do.
