From what I understand, in southwestern Ontario, wind turbines are a hot topic so believe it or not, CEN was wise to reschedule the meeting although delaying it so much seems odd. Those who live near them claim the noise they make is causing health problems, advocates jump up and down about energy from renewable resources. A good friend of mine has a great deal of financial interest in wind farms and they are seeing push back. Hydro One has expensive rates, the feed in tarrif has largely been an expensive exercise, and even countries like Denmark, who have the largest number of wind turbines in the world per capita have called a halt to their construction. Denmark also has the highest electrical costs in the world. To local residents wind turbines are a hot topic and pot is on the horizon there, not quite a reality so they will deal with the dragons they can see and worry about the others later.
