Barren as the Company's new Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Bruce brings more than 40 years of experience in directing public companies.
As previously announced Amazonas has been pursuing several initiatives for revenue growth in the fields of forest products and the preservation of the natural habitats and environment contained in company owned lands. The company is focused on building shareholder value through these initiatives that include enhancing the management team, funding revenue generating projects, growth through additional acquisitions, improved investor relations presence and the completion of requirements necessary for Amazonas to become a fully reporting and complaint entity.
The appointment of Mr. Barren represents the first step in this process and positions the Company under the qualified leadership needed to accomplish these initiatives.
Mr. Bruce W. Barren, CEO, stated, "I am very excited to have been given this opportunity. Mr. Barren will replace Michael Ibar as CEO of the Company. The Company would like to thank Mr. Ibar for his time and dedication to Amazonas during his tenure. Mr. Barren is group chairman of The EMCO/Hanover Group, which since its inception in 1971, has concluded more than $3+ billion in financial transactions worldwide as international merchant bankers, representing more than 1,000 separate corporate transactions.
