This compares with net income from normal operations in the second quarter of 2013 of $25.5 million, or 45 cents per diluted share. During the second quarter of 2013, the Company also recognized an after-tax gain of $65.6 million, or $1.17 per diluted share, on the settlement of an insurance claim. Diluted earnings per share for 2013 have been adjusted to reflect a 2-for-1 stock split that was effected during the first quarter of 2014.
