Global Military Electro-optic Infrared Systems Market 2014-2018 with BAE Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries, Raytheon, General Dynamics & Thales Dominating
M2 - Tue Jul 01, 2:56AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/gj9k9r/global_military) has announced the addition of the "Global Military Electro-optic Infrared Systems Market 2014-2018" report to their offering. The Global Defense industry is investing extensively in R&D. In an attempt to improve the existing technology, vendors are developing systems that can help augment endurance and efficiency of weapons in hostile atmospheric conditions. For instance, there is an increase in the demand for EO/IR systems that require low maintenance and do not get overheated when used heavily. According to the report, the growth of the Global EO/IR Systems market is driven by several factors, of which an increase in the international conflicts is the major driver. For instance, over the past few years, there has been an increase in the number of international conflicts, such as the Syrian civil war and the Lebanon conflict. This rising tension across borders has led to an increase in the demand for EO/IR systems globally. Further, the report states that one such challenge is the rapid technological changes taking place in the market. Because of these changes, vendors have to invest more to upgrade their current EO/IR systems. This reduces the profit margins of the vendors.
