Help me a little here. I get caught in the long term hold mentality. I'll use AKS as an example. In at 3.58 and now at 4.00 on 150 shares. So I'm up 11% and about 60 bucks. Selling half is only 30 bucks for 2 weeks work. Should I be ignoring the dollar figures and just concentrate on the percentage of profit?
I do understand stopping out before losses although that lesson has been learned by not stopping out when I should. I also tend to not take money off the table on big gainers and give a bunch back to the house. Probably my biggest fault! I'm here to learn!
