Global Renewable Energy Market: 2009 - 2018
M2 - Tue Sep 09, 3:45AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/nnd4gf/global_renewable) has announced the addition of the "Global Renewable Energy: 2009 - 2018 " report to their offering. The renewable energy sector has the potential to double its present share, but that requires action from all regions. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates that about 10 percent of world energy consumption is from renewable energy sources with a projection of 14 percent by 2035. That renewables is the fastest growing energy source for actual electricity production globally, increasing at 3.1 percent per year, is indication of its outlook. Global investments in renewable energy dropped for a second successive year to USD 254 billion in 2013, an 11 percent decrease from 2012 levels. The decline was reflected in a sharp fall in solar system prices, and the effect of policy uncertainty in many countries. Looking at global investment in clean energy sector-wise, wind saw a small decline to USD 80.3 billion in 2013 from USD 80.9 billion in 2012, while there was a more pronounced reduction in solar, to USD 114.7 billion from USD 142.9 billion. The governments of several countries are focusing on policy framework to create a congenial environment for the growth of the renewable energy market. Around 138 countries across the world had set renewable energy targets for the end of 2012. The Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan impelled many countries to develop policies for the development of sustainable energy sources. Feed-in-tariffs (FITs) and renewable portfolio standards (RPS) are the most common policies being adopted by a majority of the countries that have renewable energy policies. Key Topics Covered: 1. Executive Summary 2. Global Overview 3. The Cost of Going Green 4. Cost Analysis of Renewable Power Generation 5. Regional Overview 6. Opportunities for Renewable Energy in Manufacturing Sector 7. Global Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) Market 2013-2019: C-Si, Thin film, DSC & OPV for Rooftop, Curtain wall & BIPV Windows
M2 - Fri Jul 11, 8:19AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/kx578k/building) has announced the addition of the "Global Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) Market 2013-2019: C-Si, Thin film, DSC & OPV for Rooftop, Curtain wall & BIPV Windows" report to their offering. Building Integrated Solar photovoltaic (BIPV) systems utilize building integrated solar panels to generate electricity, by transforming solar radiations into electrical energy. The energy generated has wide applications in several sectors including residential, commercial and industrial sectors. The major advantage of the BIPV is decentralization from grid power. The BIPV market report provides an in-depth analysis of the global BIPV industry. The report segments the market on the basis of product type, technology, end-user and region and also provides forecasts and estimates for each segment. The report also analyses demand and supply characteristics of the market by providing a detailed forecast and analysis of volume in terms of annual installations and revenue for the period 2013 to 2019. Curtain wall systems are capturing the market for BIPV due to their low maintenance and enhanced barrier and transparent properties as compare to glass. Rooftop BIPV is having large market share due to implementation of first generation technology and the trend is expected to be the same over entire forecast period. Curtain wall BIPV products are expected to grow at healthy growth rates. BIPV windows are niche product segment at present. However, this segment is likely to become attractive market segment due to growing applications in residential as well as commercial sector. The various technologies utilized BIPV are C-Si, thin film and other (OPV & DSC). The thin film technology is grabbing the attention of market players owing to its flexible design and ease of integration in curtain wall BIPV and fabrics. This widens up the applications for thin film technology and this technology segment is expected to grow at higher growth rates over the entire forecast period. Due to its low prices and higher efficiencies at the present, C-Si technology became the major technology segment in 2012. However, C-Si technology is oldest one and many developments to enhance efficiency have taken place. Such factors are expected to drive the market for C-Si technology. Other technologies such as OPV and DSC are third generation technologies and are still under the development phase. The development of these technologies is likely to produce high efficiency panels and expected to become attractive market. Scope BIPV Market: Product Analysis - Rooftop - Curtain wall - BIPV windows BIPV Market: Technology Analysis - C-Si - Thin film - Other (DSC & OPV) BIPV Market: End-user Analysis - Commercial - Residential - Industrial Company Profiles - Ascent Solar Technologies Inc - CENTROSOLAR Group AG - Ecotemis - ertex solartechnik GmbH - First Solar Inc. - Heliatek GmbH - Onyx Solar Group LLC - Power Film, Inc. - Pythagoras Solar - Sapa Soar - Sharp Solar For more information visit http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/kx578k/building
