Fjordland and Sumac Increase Drilling to 4,500 Metres at Dillard, Southern British Columbia

Fjordland Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FEX) is pleased to report that the Company and Sumac Mines Ltd., a subsidiary of Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. of Japan, have increased the planned diamond drilling program for 2014 to 4,500 metres (m), from the originally planned 2,500 m for the Dillard porphyry copper-gold project located between Merritt and Princeton in southern BC. To the middle of August, 2,070 m of trenching was completed at Dillard East, and over 2,500 m of drilling was completed at Dillard West. The additional drilling will test anomalous zones at Dillard East.

The 2013 work programs on Dillard are part of a staged, systematic exploration program budgeted at approximately $800,000, under a recent option agreement with Sumac Mines Ltd., a subsidiary of Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. (see news releases dated April 4, 2013 and May 28, 2013).

Fjordland Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: FEX) is pleased to announce the 2013 work and budget programs, estimated at $800,000, for the Dillard porphyry copper-gold project located between Merritt and Princeton in southern BC. The programs will be staged, commencing with 37.3 line kilometres of ground induced polarization and magnetic surveys during June, 280 line-kilometres of high-resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric surveys in early July, followed by approximately 2,000 metres of diamond drilling in August. Drilling will test for additional mineralization, including possible depth extensions of mineralization in holes that bottomed in mineralization during Placer Dome's 1991 historic drilling program on the Dill (Primer South) property, as well as first-time testing of recently discovered copper mineralization at the Dillard East property. Fjordland is the operator of the programs.
