This is my take on Lakeshore. First of all, MMJ is now legal throughout Canada period. I think Bill wanted the sites to fall under the current agriculture zoning but it appears Lakeshore wants a new zoning law for MMJ? I cannot speak for the good citizens of Lakeshore but why would they discourage one of the fastest growing segments in any industry in Canada? What would be the point of that? As long as it is regulated on the Federal level (heavily) it seems like a win/win for the town. I can see where the city may try and make some $ off of a new zoning law for MMJ but all towns try and do that. I think Bill saw this coming so that is why he did the PR with the question/answer session later this month. We are caught in a red tape web right now. I think if the town tries to keep Cen Bio from growing by creating NEW laws, they may have to defend their actions in court because Bill will not go quietly in to the night trust me. That scenario could cost the town a tremendous amount of $ in court costs when they could be collecting $ in new streams of revenue. Does not make any sense.
