George E. "Ernie" RiddleCorporate President
A licensed pharmacist since his graduation from the Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in 1975. Prior to enrolling at Mercer, Ernie served four years in the U.S. Navy and attended Mercer on the G.I. Bill. His service included a year in Vietnam where he was a combat veteran of the "brown water navy". He has been involved in physician dispensing for over 25 years. His company also provided all the prescription drugs for the State of Tennessee's prison system.
Ernie started his first drug store in 1978 and currently owns and operates six pharmacies as well as two walk-in clinics in East Tennessee . They are managed under United Apothecary, Inc. which he incorporated in 1991. He is responsible for relationships with drug manufacturers and distributors, and developing new markets.
