"As you may have seen this morning, we announced our new partnership with Mundial Sports Network.
We've been working on this opportunity with Felix Sencion and his team for some time now and I wanted to take a a moment to share why this is important as we continue to build out Mindpix.
As we've said before, Sports, particularly US Hispanic sports are a pretty big priority for us. And according to comScore, Mundial is the #1 Latino sports network in the US, ahead of ESPN Deportes, Univision Sports and Telemundo, so we've picked the "right horse" to ride with if you will. (Tempting as it is, I'll keep the sports metaphors to a minimum here..)
The broad agreement, covers video content development and management , global syndication, sponsorships, , etc - so there is a wide runway to drive top line revenue for us and Mundial across the full portfolio of our Media Services business and capabilities.
Equally important, if not more so, is the entry to world soccer that this agreement affords us that excites me as well.
Globally, all major soccer teams have plans to expand their fan base in the US. With our new partnership with Mundial, now have the the right set of assets, - huge reach into the marketplace through Mundial, technology and capabilities through our Media Services divsion and our access to major teams around the globe - to drive revenue and expand the their fan base into the increasingly important US Hispanic market.
Whether its Arsenal, Man City, Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea in the UK, through the English Premier League (EPL), Real Madrid or Barcelona in Spain/Spanish Liga, or Bayern Munich in Germany/Bundesliga, etc - the US market is major prize for all clubs.
The regular season in Europe just started , so the timing for us to roll-out this new capability is perfectly timed.
It's a big opportunity for us and I'm heading over the London and Spain next week, to talk to a number of these teams about our new partnership and capability with Mundial."
