Global and Chinese Needle Coke Industry Report, 2014-2016
M2 - Mon Sep 01, 9:19AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/bt2t9b/global_and) has announced the addition of the "Global and Chinese Needle Coke Industry Report, 2014-2016" report to their offering. The global needle coke capacity rose from 920 kt/a to 1,160 kt/a in 2006-2013, registering a CAGR of 3.9%. So far, American and Japanese companies have mastered the needle coke production worldwide. ConocoPhillips as the world's largest producer of oil-based needle coke saw its capacity up to 370 kt/a in 2013; C-Chem, the largest coal-based needle coke producer, boasted capacity of 170 kt/a in the same year. In 2006-2013, China's needle coke capacity grew from 60 kt/a to 240 kt/a at a CAGR of 17%, far above the global level. And there are still multiple projects under construction such as the 50 kt/a Needle Coke Project of Qitaihe Baotailong Coal & Coal Chemicals Public Co., Ltd. and the 100 kt/a Needle Coke Project of Fangda Carbon New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (both planned to be commissioned at the end of 2014), the 100 kt/a Needle Coke Project of Shandong Delin Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (the cornerstone-laying ceremony was held in June 2013). If these projects in process go into operation on schedule, China's abuilding needle coke capacity will hit above 880 kt/a. China as the world's largest producer of steel has maintained a high demand for needle coke. But against the background of worsening global economic environment and domestic economic slowdown, the oversupply in the Chinese needle coke market was prominent in 2013, causing a contraction in aggregate demand and a downward trend for prices. In 2013, China's needle coke demand witnessed a year-on-year decrease of 7.8% to approximately 332 kt, which, enslaved to the serious overcapacity of downstream graphite electrode, would find it hard to show signs of recovery, but a slight decline in 2014. Key Topics Covered: 1. Overview of Needle Coke 2. Development of Global Needle Coke Industry 3. Development of China Needle Coke Industry 4. Development of China Graphite Electrode Industry 5. Liquefied Natural Gas Industry Analysis - Size, Share, Growth, Trends and Forecast 2013 - 2019
M2 - Wed Aug 27, 4:51AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/vv442q/liquefied_natural) has announced the addition of the "Liquefied Natural Gas Market - Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends and Forecast, 2013 - 2019" report to their offering. Asia Pacific dominated the global LNG market in terms of volume due to high demand from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Emerging economies such as India and China import large quantities of LNG as domestic gas production is not enough to cater to the domestic needs of these countries. Europe is also expected to be a booming market for LNG as countries such as Spain, the U.K and France are importing high quantities of LNG. Rest of the World (RoW) is anticipated to witness a moderate growth rate as large number of gas reserves exist in the Middle East. End-user segment in the LNG market comprises industrial, electric power and other sector applications such as transportation and commercial. Industrial sector is expected to be the most dominating sector in terms of demand for LNG. Various industries such as chemicals, fertilizers and steel utilize high quantities of LNG as operational fuel. Industrial processes consume huge quantities of distillate fuels. Transition to LNG from conventional fuels can help industries save significant capital. Various equipment such as drilling equipment, industrial boilers and mining equipment utilize high quantities of LNG due to large number of benefits it offers such as low cost and no emissions. Demand for LNG is high in the electric power sector due to less cost and favorable heat rate. This makes LNG a preferred fuel. Various government policies make it mandatory to use LNG in the industrial sector in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. LNG-based electric power plants effectively and efficiently support high load during peak hours. LNG is the preferred fuel for small-scale captive power plants that are specially designed for in-house power generation and these small scale power plants can easily support load up to 100 MW. Industries located in remote areas can operate easily by installing captive power plants using LNG as fuel. Key Topics Covered: Chapter 1 Preface Chapter 2 Executive Summary Chapter 3 Liquefied Natural Gas Market - Industry Analysis Chapter 4 LNG Market - End-User Analysis Chapter 5 LNG Market: Regional Analysis Chapter 6 Company Profiles - Apache Corporation - BG Group plc - Cheniere Energy, Inc. - ConocoPhillips - Dominion Resources, Inc. - Kinder Morgan, Inc. - Qatar Petroleum - Sempra Energy - Veresen Inc. - Woodside Petroleum Ltd.
