PHIL >> COMPANY HIGHLIGHTZZZ PHI Group is currently work on three major energy initiatives: 1. Coal assets: We have begun a long-term acquisition program to accumulate coal assets in South Borneo, East Kalimantan, and Sumatra, Indonesia to provide stable long-term coal supply to major international users including coal-fired power plants, steel mills, cement and glass manufacturing plants, etc. 2. Power plants: We cooperate with VIP Group and Hoang Ngoc Joint Stock Company to develop and establish coal-fired power plants in the provinces of An Giang, Khanh Hoa, Quang Tri, and Quang Binh, Vietnam with a total planned capacity of 6,000 MW. 3. Renewable energy: Our strategy with regard to renewable energy is to provide solutions to energy problems by using better, cleaner and more cost-effective renewable technologies, including solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, hydro-magnetic gravitational, and others as may be optimum for each particular geopolitical area. 1) We have partnered with Global Sun Wind & Power Corp., a U.S. company (“GSWP”), to provide patented wind energy, solar power, battery storage systems and back-up power generators in a unified system each element of which is designed specifically for the customer’s particular site and geographical conditions. These systems are highly efficient in both grid-connected and off-grid applications. GSWP’s wind turbines will deliver power in the most extreme wind regimens thanks to its patented “Pivot” linkage. This unique ability of GSWP’s blade to “helicopter” horizontally in high winds allows for full and efficient operation up to 150 mph, without the need to shut down or de-link from the grid. The same technology that protects GSWP’s turbines in high winds makes them more efficient in winds as low as 8.5 mph as well. This makes GSWP’s turbines over 40% more efficient than any turbine on the market today. Add state-of-the-art electronic controls and you have a turbine that can operate in 80% of the world’s land mass from Class 2 to Class 7 winds. This system delivers continuous and reliable energy that competes directly with coal, natural gas and nuclear on a $/KWh basis. The GDS technology uses a closed-loop hydro system to generate waves in a controlled environment and converts the combined energy of those waves to mechanical power used for generating electricity, pumping water for distribution, desalination and energy storage, to name a few. The GDS system is versatile and scalable in its application, design and construction; thus can be tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer. Some benefits of the GDS Baseload Renewable Energy System include: - Unrestrictive: Can be installed virtually anywhere without constraint, as long as there is a liquid(fresh water, salt water, oil, etc.) readily available. - Economically competitive: Economical and cost-competitive when compared with other existing alternatives such as coal, natural gas, solar, wind, etc. - Scalability: 1MW to 5GW - Clean and Green Energy: No fuel source, no chemicals, no toxic building materials. - High Power Density: Per acre comparable to traditional energy alternatives. - Simple to Operate: Low maintenance and operating cost. At these altitudes, 85% of the U.S. can offer wind resources compared to only 15% accessible with current technology. Additionally, the Makani Power wing can be economically deployed in deep offshore waters, opening up a resource which is 4 times greater than the entire U.S. electrical generation capacity. This is also true for many other countries as well. Makani Power has demonstrated the core technology, including autonomous launch, land, and power generation with an 8-meter wingspan, 20kW prototype. At commercial scale, Makani Power aims to develop a 600 kW, 28-meter wingspan product capable of delivering energy at an unsubsidized cost competitive with coal, the current benchmark for low-cost power. Successful deployment of Makani Power’s airborne turbines would provide clean power at a fraction of the cost of conventional wind turbines and enable the widespread use of renewable energy, resulting in significant reductions of CO2 emissions.
