Dr. Apel: "No one involved had any clue about science."
"He (Gold/Hoye) never let me meet any of the Dream Team, and I never knew and still don't who I was working for or what company was what. (...) Every time I complained about how our shareholders were treated, they cut back my pay. (...) I was never allowed to have contact info for any of the principles (principals), and my lab was never funded. No one involved had any clue about science. (...) I guess my mistake was trusting Dave and Maryann without getting to know them better first."
Evidently, Dr. Apel, the indispensable brains of BBio, was the only one who cared about the shareholders. That Apel was isolated from contacting or meeting with the principals speaks volumes. To keep the game going, con artists need everybody on their team playing along to milk the suckers. A man of integrity in their ranks would muck up the works, but Apel was a key worker in the organization. In addition, the principals require plausible deniability. What to do? They carefully isolated and belittled Apel while at the same time exploiting him.
Follow the money. The Rogues Gallery of this twofer penny-stock share selling scheme (IEquity Corp, SKTO, AEGY) need to face the music.
