The agreement represents a continuation of SolidFire's rapid global expansion and follows the opening of a regional HQ in Singapore in April 2014, and significant growth of SolidFire's Europe, Middle East and Africa teams.
Under the agreement, Nissho will provide its network of resellers with access to SolidFire's SF3010, SF6010, and SF9010 scale-out/all-flash storage arrays . The distributor has also been provided with aggressive sales targets, highlighting SolidFire's strong growth plans for the region. As a result of the agreement, Nissho's resellers will be able to offer Japanese enterprises the solutions needed to meet today's IT performance demands while driving greater consolidation, automation and scale across their entire storage infrastructure.
Japanese cloud service operators will also be able to take advantage of SolidFire's all-flash storage arrays to improve their profits by differentiating their service offerings and setting competitive prices. This is based on the QoS (Quality of Service) guarantee SolidFire brings to the storage layer, allowing cloud service operators to set effective and competitive pricing tailored to each service level.
