My "gut" feeling is MAP as a revenue source is limited only by the number of pharmacists and staff on hand. Let's face it, one pharmacist can only fill a certain number of scripts each day. Then you have to take into consideration the manpower required to process each Rx for reimbursement. MAP has demonstrated it can generate $4+M each month. When I started researching compounding pharmacy, I was told a healthy well staffed compound pharmacy should do $4.5 to $5M a month. I will go out on the limb and say with the success SCRC is having, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Mr. Schneiderman isn't working on plans to expand upon this revenue source. If he would increase the staff or purchase another two or three pharmacies, my gosh you could be talking $20M a month in revenues. He has put SCRC in the right place at the right time. And if he truly believes, and I believe him, that RapiMeds could mirror compounding's success, SCRC will be HUGE beyond any of our imagination.
