It sounds like a lot of nervousness on the board today

Well here's a great article about how investors will be able to buy FITX through this index fund that will be listed and trading on the NYSE in the first half of 2015. Apparently the ticker will be listed on NYSE as early as 2014 but trading the first half of 2015. The exposure will be huge. Big money about to pour in. Almost forgot to mention FITX is one of the larger holdings in this fund.

I would not trust the current Canadian federal government to see much beyond their own navel. This is the same government which allowed a Canadian to serve five years in a federal penitentiary for selling mj seeds in the United States, and Mr. Harper did not wish to be viewed as a pariah, by the country's biggest trading partner, by being seen as soft on marijuana and the threat to world peace, the American way of life, and likely resulting in gun control if peace loving dope smoking hippies ruled the day; so he kept up and keeps up his stiff resistance to this plant. As the Canadian sat it out in our American jail, some states were moving forward and allowing medical mj, and now look at the situation. He gets out of prison with over twenty states now allowing its use in some way. Mr. Harper is still dead against this plant, Health Canada makes it known it is not legal, and HC tried and failed to draw the physicians in Canada into the debate who ultimately saw the futility in such a mindset and refused to co-operate with the feds two weeks ago on this programme of coming out against the plant publicly as concerned physicians.

Marijuana is federally regulated. It can't be made legal/illegal in any one part of the country.

Born 1959 in New Zealand, Greg Flavall graduated High School in Vancouver, Canada.

Greg pursued a career in building, learning all facets of construction, later moving to California where he partnered with a friend to start a General Contracting company.

2006 saw a change of direction for Greg when he learned about the many benefits of Industrial Hemp and it's applications, particularly in regard to construction, to reduce the CO2 emitted from mineral based building products and to increase indoor air quality.

In 2008 Greg co-founded Hemp Technologies (USA) Inc. in Asheville, NC, to build healthy, energy saving homes with Hemp+Lime.

Greg is a qualified Chef, plays Scottish BagPipes and enjoys golf, tennis and fishing.
It's relevant because the Canadian government is looking at what happens in Colorado when they legalized pot. Try and see the big picture.
Note that it states business owners, dispensary owners, have to grow their own. So much for exporting to Colorado.
is this the same Greg Flavall who heads up Hempt Technologies?

the age would be right as the article is from 2005 making him 49 at that time. The HT site has his birthdate listed as 1959 which would match.

Irrelevant for FITX, as per ceo they aren't entering USA market until mj made legal by federal government.
Well, actually, it is not like any other crop. Are there any other businesses growing mmj in the area? So how can they be grandfathered?

So you invested in fitx after they made their big gains in the market. You based your investment on an infomercial that came out after the big run up on pot stocks.
That is too funny. Neither can you. It is not even on the radar. Hemp inc can found but not hemp technologies. Did hemp technologies have any revenue at all?

The reason no one is responding is because no on this board knows. They just keep bragging up hemp without even knowing what hemp business they own.
I explained it a hundred times and I'm glad you keep asking questions cause everyone else reading this was able to understand what I wrote and do their own due diligence on the subject matter. I was writing the responses not for you but for the community......

I will not do your due diligence for you, I think you would benefit you the most if your learned how yourself seeing as how you are unable to locate information on hemp technologies revenues
The catch is yes, it is agricultural but value added which imposes restrictions on size in terms of processing which in this case restricts them to 6000 square feet and five employee's per shift. This can be found under the towns by-law. However, given the comments by Foran which I posted yesterday there is a de facto ban at the moment. I don't think CEN would push the envelope on that knowing they already have applied for a zoning amendment and need the town to sign off on that amendment. Again, it does not matter what HC calls agricultural, what is important and stated implicitly on the HC site is all growers must abide by local zoning by laws and regulations. The federal govenment cannot interfere at this level.

The town can refuse to sign off on the zoning amendment if they wish severely restricting production and processing. If site #1 does not fall under the new medical mj zoning, it will be classified as site specific and a zoning amendment application would be required to increase their processing size. Even though attempts to rezone this specific piece of land in the past by Bills cousin have failed, I would say with some certainty it was because the activities which were being contemplated were not agricultural in nature. This application might well be successful. The sticking points would be utilties. Water and Electrical.
Then why were you posting that once they started growing marijauna fitx would be grandfathered in? Are you still in denial that there is a zoning issue? And seeing you know so much about hemp please let me know how much money the hemp company bill acquired is and was making.
again you don't understand the difference between a ban and zoning

When you say illegal that means a ban altogether, when you talk about zoning that means there is no ban and the town allows these businesses but regulates it with zoning business licenses etc.....

Now grandfathered doesn't apply to a ban. A ban is a ban. Grandfathering applies to zoning business licenses , any legislation set up to regulate the business. If the businesses exists and permits are pulled for the business before there is any new legislation set up then you are grandfathered... Why? Cause at this moment it's just like any other agricultural crop until the town makes up new rules.
