Studies have shown that people prefer set top boxes over smart TV's. even Samsung has addressed this. However Skymedia is one TV manufacture who has already built the NP1 technology into their displays. Also NTEK has stated they are working hard to get Ultraflix on all the new 4K smart TV's. I think they are already on the ball with what you are talking about. But the set box still remains the leader regarding streaming technology thus far.
Please talk a little bit about profitability and share structure where you see any way this can double in price. Also explain how just because they have 4K means that big companies with money won't come in and clover them in one day. These are serious concerns that NEWD to be addressed.

NTEK Does not compete with sony. In the 4k space all major players would love to see NTEK and others succeed. Why some believe the big boys want to crush the smaller players, is beyond me ! More content and choice equals greater sales and a larger 4k install base. NTEK and companies like them are good for business ! NTEK Will sink or swim on there own merits with no resistance from so called "competitors". Companies are focused on GROWING the market not cornering it !
Does that mean now we are screwed because the NP1 can only do 25 fps in 4k?
No. There was nothing there with ntek in the first place to get screwed with. One needs a real product that fails to get screwed, whereas with ntek, one was screwed from the get go with false advertising, so there is no 'now we are screwed' scenario.
