Long shot I think you are misinterpreting this. HC does not work with local authorities and grants licenses without regards to municipal zoning.

Fitx can get a license but still has to conform to local laws. So as it stand now they can get a license but cannot grow what bill claims to be 1.3 million lbs o pot
Zoning issues or no zoning issues...someone please put this puppy to bed. I cannot believe this is still NOT figured out and continues to be discussed. Anyone???

Marcy Wheeler wonders why I don't talk more about insurance industry profits and the costs they impose on the system. So let me show my work on that at a little more length.

There are two basic ways that insurers could increase costs. One is by being inefficient and requiring huge administrative costs. Another is by sustaining huge profit margins. I've pretty much concluded that insurance companies don't do either, or don't have to do either.

The insurance industry is not a particularly profitable industry. To be more specific, they're the 86th most profitable industry as measured by profit margins, with an average margin of 3.3 percent. That's lower than drug manufacturers (16.5 percent), health information services (9.3 percent), home health care (8.4 percent), medical labs and research (8.2 percent), medical instruments and supplies (6.8 percent), biotech firms (6.7 percent), generic drug manufacturers (6.6 percent), and much else. That's not to pretend that 3.3 percent is nothing, but it's hard to see how that's a primary driver of health-care spending, much less the growth in health-care spending.

Ok my bad. More like 5% on a good year. No I cannot show you a contract from Lloyds of London and FITX and am basing that info on press released by FITX
And to take it a step farther...

Do municipal zoning by-laws apply to my production site?

Licensed producers are required to notify their local government, local police force and local fire officials of their intention to apply to Health Canada, so that local authorities are aware of their proposed location and activities. Licensed producers are also required to communicate with local authorities whenever there is a change in the status of their license. Licensed producers must comply with all federal, provincial/territorial and municipal laws and by-laws, including municipal zoning by-laws.

I don't believe they can get a license until municipal zoning by-laws have been worked out in Lakeshore. To issue a license without conformity to local zoning would involve HC breaking their own rules, and I don't think that's going to happen. This whole process is dead in the water until Lakeshore can assure HC the site meets local zoning regulations, and it doesn't look like that's likely for a few months at best.

cant you show us the contract they have with Lloyds of London and prove your 10% profit with real balance sheets. They are acting as an underwriter with Lloyds of London as the insurer. So they would get a small fraction of the ridiculous estimate of 25 million. Also insurance companies make around 10% profit of of premiums
Bedrocan sells mmj at $7.50 a gram. This price will drop to about $4.00 a gram in the future. Take all of bills wild predictions and flush them down the toilet.
Real company's have products to sell? When the hell did this happen. I thought pumpers is what makes a company.
Apparently fitx investors overlook small things like market, market share, and competition
Quote:
lets asume they dont get to grow there 1.2mil LBS a year
Well that's a great assumption. Health Canada issues a license allowing a quantity based on square footage , not the ridiculous , unrealistic amount that Chaaban asked for or for what he says he will build in the future. Tweed's initial license was for 1320 lbs , based on growing space at the time of issue. They now have 33,000 lbs , based on their current growing square footage.

they dont have to hope for a marketshare for their product, just sell all they can grow
Really? Where are they just going to sell it ? Organigram today began harvesting their first , planted in March , crop and have over 1000 register patients. Bedrocan is importing from Holland selling to registered patients and as of this AM have a 3 month supply in their Toronto vault. Registered patients are the only legal market in Canada and exportation to the USA is prohibited.

How much hemp has bill sold? I thought he bought an up and running company. How many insurance policies has bill written?

I thought fitx was going into the Canadian mmj business.
that is fact
fitx does not even have a product yet bill is running around the planet acting like they are the top dog.

FITX doesn't have municipal approval yet.

This was posted on the Lakeshore news on July 20th 2014.

Lakeshore council is pushing off a bylaw regulating medical marijuana and hemp production in the town until more information can come forward.

Mayor Tom Bain thinks they can be flexible with timelines in order to get the bylaw right — but hopes it’s sorted out in three to four months.

Bill said HC did there inspection on July 31st 2014. But in the article the Mayor is saying they will deal with the bylaw in 3-4 months. I seriously doubt they had municipal approval by July 31st.
FITX are growing Hemp in NZ.. Ukraine is a source of Hemp seeds.
