I agree...in todays world, I believe the media is more inclined to "stir the pot" with misinformation on topics like this...non-violent topics...so they get more opportunities to revisit them with "their" version of breaking news. It's all about the nickel for them as well...they get more hits on their website so they get more add revenue. I honestly don't think the media really gives a crap...they just want to be the ones to present it so they look like they are researching and reporting new information.
Yes. Not an old job like you were trying to say.
FNMA Stock Message Board http://investorshangout.com/Fannie-Mae-FNMA-61730/
Absolutely correct you ask the landlord for a lease extension. And the landlord gets happy because of no down time or vacancy.... And new commercial lease on a business that size is 10 20 30 year lease due to the cost being absorbed building out new space... Sit tight folks we win
IMO
Agreed you do a lease Extention ant the land lord is happier than a pig in shit cuz of no vacancy.... Sit tight everyone
Hate the new page layout Scottrade!!! Lets go Fannie!
you don't go thru the expense and trouble of moving
if yer going out of business ... idiotic conclusion
Pre-Market activity hints at a good day today....GLTA
$4 will be history before you can say Fannie
That is an awesome headline for a story!!
FNMA and Freddie Mac-Victims NOT Villians!
Hurt or Helps us? I dunno.
The news anchor is obviously uninformed with the issues and his "Thank You 318 million Tax Payers" comment is especially disturbing when you know the facts, which is what a news organization is supposed to report to the public. Is he purposely misleading the public or just ignorant?
His guest a bit better in telling the truth or at least hinting at it. He sure came to and left the "They are once again profitable" comment quickly.
You'd think an intelligent reporter would want to give this issues some factual, honest and informed time in the national spotlight and pick themselves up a Pulitzer.
imho "we" know better but the viewing public who do not invest, but ironically do have mortgages, will find that news report to be an additional source of negative and hostile feelings towards FnF and "us". Little do they know but boy will they learn fast if we lose the battle. Thank goodness we will win and deserve everything we gain from our investment.
WONG!!!!
This legal principal, FVE (Fraud vitiates Everything) could turn out to be critical, as the discovery documents will likely show.
Remember, while shareholders did consent to the conservatorship (tho many beleive the government bullied the board into accepting it), we did not consent, and have never given consent to the third amendment sweep.
Even if we did, it is unconscoinable. No one gives up their entire income for life for anything, except probably to raise their family. And, nothing should replace that family "top priority"...its not conscionable even if we gave implied consent when we our board consented to the cship.
The government decieved us. We were led to beleive the government would put us in cship and "preserve our assets until we were in a solvent condition".
Instead of preserving, the government breached its fiduciary duty and confiscated all the funds that they swore to preserve. This is fraud.
We see this sometimes with Veterans. The Veteran, sometimes, has such mental illnesses that he can not manage finances, so someone is appointed to ensure bills are paid, etc.
However, often this backfires. The fiduciary winds up stealing the money. This is exactly the position the government is in. We need some strict legislation which prohibits fiduciary malfeansce, as in the fannie mae case.

Should get more interesting after Labor Day
This is a quote from Absurd_Trader, a very knowledgeable poster from the Google Board; he makes several excellent points:
"" If you get another activist investor taking a 5 to 10% position - that is 60 to 120 million shares in FNMA. Yes, you can see $6 and up very quickly.
Today is pre-Labor Day volume. The next 3 days will be the lowest volume of the year for the entire market. Just look at the volume on SPY right now.
Gotta see what happens from Labor Day to Thanksgiving. Then from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Those two time periods could be huge. ""
'Nuff said!
I could do that too, be mortgage free at 35 would be a nice thing. Put money into the market instead of paying off mortgage and interest.
Mine also to payoff my current loan
God Bless America
Thanks, navy, for pointing that out about "Data Tools".
GO FnF
Should be an interesting day.
GO FnF
I find it a bit ironic that I'm hoping this stock takes off like it should so I could use that money to buy a new house. So technically money made here would be put back into real estate, securing a bigger loan with a nice down payment.
It's amazing how so many folks, even talking heads on news programs like the ones on the FOX/F&F clip don't know how much the bailout was, the first guy said $300mm and Gasparino said $i77B. At any rate I thought the piece was very positive for us long$!!
