U. S. Army Demonstrates Steadfast Commitment to Safety and Security for Military Personnel and Their Families in Europe With Deployment of AtHoc

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 28, 2014) - AtHoc, Inc ., the leader in network-centric interactive crisis communication systems, today announced  the United States Army, under the Emergency Management Modernization Program (EM2P) managed by Leidos, has expanded its use of AtHoc IWSAlerts™ for unified emergency mass notifications to installations in multiple OCONUS theaters. Specifically, 150,000 personnel and their families at garrisons in the Europe region will be protected by emergency alerts. "With increasing threats worldwide, AtHoc is proud to serve as the U.S. Army's partner in the deployment of mission-critical life-saving capability," said (Ret.) Army Col. David Brown, Vice President, Defense and Intelligence Group for AtHoc. "We look forward to continuing our relationship with Leidos and the EM2P Team as the Army leads the way within the government and DoD to deliver next-generation crisis communications to protect lives and property, even to remote areas of the world where troops are deployed."

Specifically, AtHoc has the unique technology and system architecture to accommodate the millions of communication actions taken at any given moment on a global basis -- all implemented in a private cloud environment that meets strict U.S. military network security and user privacy requirements. Also distinctive to the AtHoc solution is the ability to unify disparate communications assets into a fully integrated alerting system, such as outdoor sirens, digital displays and closed circuit television, which results in giving any emergency management leader the advantage of quick and mass reach to protect the population during any crisis.

"The Army's expansion of AtHoc's solutions to installations around the world reflects AtHoc's ability to serve the complex needs of customers who operate on an international scale," said Sanjay Saini, Senior Vice President of Global Engineering and Operations for AtHoc. "Dependability, reliability and scalability are key elements of our offerings -- all of which fit the Army's mission for protecting its personnel and their families worldwide."
