"The concept of "clean-er" means not caked-on dirt but it somehow morphed to "cannot process unwashed plastic." Nonsense.
I prefer reality. JBII has processed hundreds of thousands of pounds of unwashed plastic with its generation 1 and generation 2 machines. Generation 3 is self cleaning and remains to be seen what it can do. One thing we do know -- PTOI has never washed plastic and never needed to wash plastic like the recycling industry requires. PTOI can handle labels, incidental levels of dirt, dyes, contaminants, paper, wax, fillers, food waste, oil waste, cotton waste, etc. that the regular plastic recycling industry typically cannot handle.
Clean-er means less caked-on dirt. It's still waste plastic contaminated with other crap and/or dirty. Not washed and clean."
