These crazy connect the dots stuff..
That position is for an IT Assistant Analyst; therefore, they would be resolving Tickets which are generated by the Employees. It looks like Bayer is using the Peregrine Ticketing Management System.
First, you really think Peregrine has no control over when an IST sponsored by PPHM releases data? C'mon...you're smarter than that. Even humoring you on that point, the PR and the select quote in the PR was issued by PPHM, something that wasn't needed, but that was done.
So, once the quote was issued in the PPHM PR, it became a company issue not just an IST issue.
Lets take it to the extreme, Company A issues a statement that "Our lead investigator in our second-most important trial representing a multi-billion dollar opportunity, has patients living as long as 18 months and will publish the full data set later this year.
Then company A raises $20 million and the stock tanks 50%. If they don't issue that full data set, I'd say anyone who sold at a loss after March 14 will be on the doorstep of the Faruqi and Faruqi firm on Jan. 1 and has a great case IMO.

Just a guess:

Perhaps Bayer is using HP's Peregrine IT management system
Bayer hires manager for Peregrine Tickets!
see August 23 2014 - Manage Peregrine Tickets (help desk) to ensure timely and appropriate resolution;
Anybody knows what that is : Peregrine Tickets?
Jobs listed since Saterday morning. Appeared suddenly in my Peregrine Pharmaceuticals list but with Bayer as the employer!
Anther source
And a 3rd
the liver trial is an IST and they have said many times that they do not control the release of information on the trial. The paragraph that was included was a quote from Dr.Yopp saying he intended to present the data by the end of the year. I do not think pphm is responsible for the statements of Dr. Yopp and whether or not he delivers on them.
A little birdie told me that it will be on the 16th.
Andy C.
I'm hoping you make a mint off of it (and the rest of us also).
Yes. It has in the past pre-empted a late day surge.
Yes, PPHM Removing Partnering Tab on Website is...
a Much better topic for discussion.
I thought I was being careful while posting what appears to include Bayer amongst the many possible suitors that could be interested in partnering with PPHM in any of PPHM's Piepline. Many doubt PPHM has any other companies interested in partnering, so that was the purpose of my original post.
As I pointed out, my link only showed "research" of partners by Bayer, which is certainly not a confirmation... only their consideration of potential partners list of which PPHM is only 1 of 25 companies listed.
I'm not trying to start rumours, but rather trying to stop rumours by the many that say PPHM is not in any current partnering negotiations.
My post only implies Bayer was interested as recently as 2nd quarter 2014 and in no way does it actually say anything has been decided by either party.
Thanks for your post regarding Sorafenib+Bavi. The next couple weeks may be exciting!
GLTA!
I'd argue the safe harbor would be sufficient if they weren't continuously financing the company without providing updated guidance that the "full data set" is no longer expected this year if that's the case.
You see, based on their own website, the liver trial is the 2nd most important clinical trial they have and the PR from March 14, 2014 is available. So, if investors purchased common or preferred shares between March-today under the premise of their PR on March 14, that "the full data set would be released later this year" and the company continues to sell PPHMP and/or ATM shares without updating that type of guidance to reflect a change, they're walking a very fine line IMO. And when you start selling shares, it gets sketchy.
At the very least, it opens the door for some pissed off shareholders to start another lawsuit.
Thanks CloakedProtector for clearing that up..
Call me crazy, but I just bought another "nibble". Some indicators (not the moving averages) on the daily chart look interesting (positive). We shall see!
IBB soaring again today and within 1% of its all time high. PPHM on the other hand still down close to 75% over its 10 year span and about 50% from its RS price over 5 years ago. This on top of the imminent Bayer partnership. Doesn't seem to be many believers rushing out to buy shares at another buying opportunity. Just easier to say one believes I guess. All imo.
4ORetirement, Bayer changed web-site code. That is all.
The companies in the list can be mapped (if still applicable).
PPHM has removed its partnership link 2 weeks ago
And again: ALL MENTIONING OF PARTNERSHIPS ARE SPECULATIONS BASED ON ALL KINDS OF ELEMENTS WHICH IN NO WAY PROVE THAT A PARTNERSHIP OR GREAT LIVER RESULTS ARE TO BE ANNOUNCED. IT IS AT THE MOST A SET OF INDICATIONS THAT THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON BETWEEN TWO MAIN SORAFENIB+BAVI clinical trial investigators and Bayer/Onyx who pays them both as consultants.
So let's be careful before this become a rumour and leaves this board as such.
I have no firm answer to your hypothetical question
There are too many variables in analysis and publication of results in oncology trials, not necessarily in control of clinical investigators, much less investors. Sometimes lightning, and lightning rods, do happen out of the blue:

Interesting article, BTW, seemingly having a much-needed favorable effect on share price today of another of my large holdings.Perhaps Dr Yopp will provide a similar effect in a couple of weeks or by end of December, as speculated by CP yesterday.
It is not always possible to accurately predict another GILD, is it. I had no way to predict INO's CEO and one of its BOD members[a Princeton grad school classmate of mine some 54-55 years ago] would insider buy extensive holdings this past few weeks.
Safe Harbor probably gets them off the hook
CP, Thanks for looking into this. I See...
a couple differences between the original posted link and your posted link that leaves me curious for a bit more DD.
My link showed it was for ".../research-and-development/partnering.php"
And your updated page shows ".../partnering/selected-partnerships"
I agree that odds are goood PPHM won't appear on your "Selected Partners" page before seeing some form of public announcement/PR.
But, it seems PPHM is in Bayer's sights regarding their research and development of potential partners as recently as 2nd quarter of 2014 especially in regards to their investors.
Thanks for posting your find.
GLTA.
If, by chance... the FDA allows Bavi to be combined with all drugs in a class..etc, then possibly Peregrine makes a little less on a partnership, but MUCH MORE on the longterm rights as it signs deals with all of Big Pharma.
To me that seems the most logical otherwise we'll need all of K&L Gates 2,000 lawyers plus. Thanks for ideas and again, a well spring of surprises are coming our way.
Here is the updated Bayer Partner page:
Partnerings (includes Onyx)
Peregrine Pharmaceuticals was on this page in the past for "Selective cancer diagnostics (vascular targeting agents)" partnering.
Don't expect to see ANYTHING about PPHM on this page before some other form of public announcement such as a PR if a partnership or collaboration would be applicable.
The date you found is the last time the page was generated from scratch. The page was last update in 2014 buy the way. It was part of a web-site code that Bayer used a while ago (investors page with sub-section integrated - it's in my cache). The new one is the one you can reach via the normal current Bayer web-page path.
